Chapter 2

Linking arms with her father he walked out and helped her onto the horse before jumping on his own. making his way in front he stopped still as 2 men rode in to the village wondering what was going on she stopped on the inside of her father. Looking directly at her one of the men flashed her a little smile taking his hat off he put it in front of him on the back of the horses neck.
"Sheriff" The man acknowledged "What! no welcome" The man asked feeling pretty sure of himself.
"A welcome here, you know all too well you are not welcome in this village"
"Aww come on Bill were not doing any harm, we are just here for a quiet drink and to see...."
"Oh no not a chance after last time turn your horse round and leave" Bill ordered reaching for his gun.
"Come on Bill theres no need for that were going ok" Turning to go he turned to look at the Sheriffs daughter. "Goodbye Victoria" he nodded and rode off back out of town. Looking confused she could have sworn she had seen his face before.
"Daddy who was that?" she asked watching after the stranger trying to work out who he was. Glancing back at his daughter Bill turned to look at her just as confused.
"You dont know who he is?" he asked. "Darling have you fallen and banged your head or something?"

Looking back at him she didnt know how to answer that. "What do you mean?" she replied "I do not know who it was"
"That is your ex husband he is no longer welcome round here and you are forbidden to see him again" Bill warned her and carried on.
"Jesse has done so much in his life and carrying on the way he is, isnt helping matters i reckon he will end up being hanged"
"Hanged but....."
"But nothing he is murderer a thief a cheat and if he does not stay out of my way i will kill him" Bill warned her. Falling silent she didnt want to argue any more lowering her eyes to the ground she kept tight a hold of the reigns and followed her father out and through the valley.

Watching farm high up on the hill Jesse watched as they both passed them below.  Deciding to follow them he kept a good distance but still enough to see her from. With the feeling that they were being watched Vicky turned round and looked right at him. looking back at her father she noticed he wasnt looking and kept looking back at him. Eventually he got what he wanted seeing her smile at him once more he smiled back thought of going after her but stopped, it was clear to him she still loved him and stood up tall watched till they got out sight round the mountain side before going back to his horse. "I knew it" he whispered to himself. "I knew she couldn't stop loving me" Jumping on his horse again he took off back to his home.
Back at home she lay in her bed thinking that when she woke up would she be able to get back to the dream she wanted to see him she had to know what happened. she couldn't get him out her head who was he and how the hell was she married to him it's not like she knew him she didnt she just recognised his face from some thing she read. Getting up she went out to the horses and took off down to the waters edge. Not seeing him come behind her she walked over to the water to let her horse drink.

"Vicky" Jesse whispered going up behind her moving his arms round her and gently placing his lips on her neck, making her jump. Turning round her eyes settled on his feeling a little nervous she wanted to run but the fact that he didnt seem dangerous to her she stood still keeping her eyes on him. He looked beautiful as the moonlight fell on him shinning off his long hair and lit up his eyes making them sparkle, her father had to be wrong about him.
"Victoria" he whispered taking another step towards her after she had pulled away. "I have missed you so much, it has been killing me inside since your father tore us apart.
"What happened" she asked him quietly not known what to do.
"There was a murder not that long ago i was found near the body with his blood all over my hands i was trying to help him i couldnt its because of the train robbery he made me leave and i became a outlaw im not happy but yes i have killed men in defence i never killed that man though"

Trying to think all of a sudden it came back to her Jesse James she was married to Jesse James the man behind the great train robbery back in 1800's she thought she knew his face. walking a step forward she held out her hand she had read up about it she knew it wanst him but how was she going to try and persuade her father to forgive him. Moving his arms round her Jesse held her close and kissed her softly.
"Come home with me dont let your father keep us apart any more i need you in my life more than i need anything" Jesse explained. "Please my love come be my wife again" Holding him close to her she didnt know what to do. not even in reality did she dare to go against her father. Glancing up in his eyes she lay her hand on his cheek.
"I want to be with you but how can i, my father would have you killed" she whispered.
"Then we will be together in secret i can not lose you all together Victoria please darling" He begged her tears falling as he held her against him. "Please give me this chance to prove to you i can change, i can be the good man you wanted"

Standing quietly she knew he would never change the blood of a killer and thief raced through his veins but she also know he would be a good father and husband. Holding him still she never said nothing more she was just trying to get used to being in his arms which did for some reason seem familiar. After they hd walked along the waters edge a little with their horses she noticed it was starting to get light probably time for her to wake back up into the real world Kissing him on the cheek she smiled lovingly up at him.
"I will see you again Jesse i promise you that" Smiling she got up on her horse then turned and galloped off back home and went right to her room with out being seen.

Chapter 1

She had always read about hero's on her book and ever since she was a little girl all Vicky could think about was how her life would be when she was older filled with the imagination of her night in shinning armour or the thought of her prince charming sweeping her up off her feet taking her in his arms and asking her for her hand in marriage. Well that was all well and good all those years ago Vicky was now 30 year old and she still was waiting for anything like that to happen. So far her life was consisted of work work and more work a divorce the loss of her father and her boss getting on her back for the past 10 years. Rolling her eyes she decided on to not let him get to her but every time she thought she was strong enough she backed right down and give in went home and cried herself to sleep like she did most nights. Her life was so boring and lonely would any one even miss her if she disappeared off the face of the earth she wondered. Of course not, Stepping in front of the mirror she shook her hair down out of the pony tail she had been wearing all day give it a quick brush then made her way into the kitchen to make her dinner. grabbing the microwaveable curry out the microwave walked into the sitting room and curled up watching the tv. Just as she was about to take the first bite she heard a smashing sound coming from her back yard. Jumping to her feet she grabbed the baseball bat that she kept at the side of the sofa and crept towards the back door. Looking out the window from the small gap under the blind Vicky glanced round but she couldnt see anything about to turn round she heard Bolto her half wolf cry out, not thinking twice she opened the door and ran out into the yard wondering how he got out in the first place. She tried to call out to him but he never came to her. calling again he heard his cries again spinning round she ran round the side to find him laying there on the ground, out the corner of her eye she saw a tall figure jump over the fence.

Running to him he had been hurt his white/brown fur was now stained with blood. Picking him up she carried him into the house and phone for her friend to come pick her to go to the vets.
Waiting in the reception she kept looking towards the door for the vet to come out and tell her he was ok. he was her best friend she couldn't lose him Vicky had him since she found him in the woods alone when he was just a pup he had been left behind after his mom had been killed. he was all she had. yet another hour had gone by and the door eventually opened it had seemed like forever she thought but at least she was eventually taking him home seeing the vet walk out she jumped to her feet. Looking confused she looked round but she couldn't see Bolto any where. looking down she saw his colour and lead in the vets hand and new he wasnt coming home. Taking the things from him she walked out slowly as the tears fell from her face. Getting home she picked up his things and the toys that were in the kitchen and took them into the bedroom with her. Laying down to sleep she broke down.
"Oh god please just take me my life is fucking shit as it is just take my life and let me die alone i hate my life take me from it please" she pleaded. Vicky couldn't take it any more she had had enough of all the rubbish closing her eyes she hoped she would never wake up this life was taking its toll she just wanted it all to end.

The sun light shone in through the window heating up her face, Vicky rose slowly up from the bed. looking round her jaw dropped where was she and what the hell was that. looking over at the chair she noticed a long dress that looked like it was from the 1800's, what the hell was going on. Looking round for her clothes she couldnt find them any where. going over to the window her eyes went wide and she went all pale what was going on here. getting dressed she went down stairs and as she got half way down she froze. this wasnt happening it couldnt be, this wasnt her downstairs it was a ...a ... a saloon. Not believing what she was seeing she continued to walk down the stairs she had to be dreaming. Walking over to the bar she looked round catching the sight of a familiar face she knew she had to be dreaming.
"Daddy?" her words surrounded the sheriff at the far side of the bar looking up he smiled and held out his arm to her so she could be close to him. Not caring right now weather or not this was real or not she ran into his arms and hugged him tightly. "I love you" her voice was so low it was almost a muffled whisper but he could still make it out. Smiling proudly back at her he held her close and whispered i love you back.
